Teen hurt in crash

Police say a teen suffered life-threatening injuries when she was hit by a van near Waterloo Conestoga Mall around 9:30 this morning.

Waterloo Regional Police Spokesperson Olaf Heinzel tells 570 News the girl was trying to cross the street and may not have been using a crosswalk.

He says he does not know if charges will be laid.

Police re-opened King Street South shortly after 1 o’clock this afternoon.
