Guelph city budget approved

Guelph city council has approved next year’s budget.
They went with a 3.6 per cent tax hike, which will work out to $102 extra for the average homeowner.
29 full time jobs will also be eliminated, but that number will only be 12 as some of those positions are currently vacant.
Staff and councillors have to take five unpaid days.
That still has to be discussed with the unions.
