Started by a high school student in Centre Wellington, “The Kindness Pledge” is a promise that individuals, groups and businesses can take to make their communities more kind and inclusive. The point of the pledge is to better educate the community and create a large group of people that are committed to learning so they can better support marginalized groups to make a more kind and inclusive community. Abby Graham, 17, launched the initiative after an incident involving a transgender individual being beaten up due to their gender identity. You can take The Kindness Pledge here (it takes less than 5 minutes!): https://kindnesspledge.ca/
