Help local artists give a voice to the needs of cis and trans women and girls and non-binary and two-spirit individuals by supporting the LAF Waterloo Region art sale. The new LAF on-line art store is a non-profit effort by regional artist groups to help you ‘Support Local’ by bringing members’ paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, jewellery, fine crafts and more to you! Whether you visit to buy a gift, something for yourself, your home or just for the visual treat … browse, shop and visit often!  All work is available, with new artists and artwork posted twice weekly, and the artist will deliver the work directly to your home. This month, 20% of all sales will support programs offered by YWCA Cambridge. As a member agency of YWCA Canada, YWCA Cambridge is part of a national movement known as the country’s oldest and largest women's multi-service organization, the largest national provider of shelter, literacy, life skills, employment and counselling programs, and is the second largest provider of childcare services in Canada. Quest4CF is a family-friendly scavenger hunt taking place in select communities across Canada on Sunday, October 17th from 1-4PM. Participants will venture out in their vehicles to solve clues and riddles on their Quest for treasure, while raising funds to help in the fight against cystic fibrosis (CF). As a Halloween-inspired event, participants are encouraged to “dress for the Quest,” wearing Halloween costumes along their journey. The K-W Quest starts at DQ on The Boardwalk and ends with Domino’s pizza. Registration is open until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, October 14th.
