We Fund Care is a registered charity founded by Val Saturno, in memory of his son, Ryan. The charity offers funding to families with children or young adults aged 0-18 going through a current battle with any cancer-related illness within Ontario. We Fund Care provides this funding because they've been there. In early 2016, Ryan Saturno died after a long and strong fight with soft-tissue cancer at age 26. A fund was created shortly after in his memory by his family and close friends in an effort to help alleviate the financial and emotional strain on families that are going through a similar journey. This year, a childhood friend of Ryan’s is taking on a huge challenge to raise funds. On Thursday, July 1st, Klark McGarr will be attempting to run the Cataraqui trail from end to end (104 km) in under 18 hours. Klark is hoping to raise $20,000 for his efforts through a GoFundMe page that you can access here: https://ca.gofundme.com/f/run2fundcare. To give you an idea as to where your donations go: every $500 dollars raised will be able to assist 1 family for 1 month during their treatments and battle with cancer.
