Cystic Fibrosis Canada is proud to announce the launch of the 17th annual Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History. The Walk to Make Cystic Fibrosis History is Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s largest fundraising event where traditionally, thousands of Canadians walk for a cure or control for cystic fibrosis (CF) in over 70 locations across Canada, on the last Sunday in May, Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and in an effort to keep our community safe, participants are once again invited to virtually unite to #GoFutherFor people living with CF where walkers will have the freedom to choose and complete their virtual challenge, their way, on their own time until the end of Cystic Fibrosis Awareness Month. Participants set a fundraising goal, choose an activity/challenge of interest to them (with consideration of proper social distancing), and share it with their supporters via word of mouth and social media. In honour of the upcoming 40th Anniversary celebration, the K-W Business Women’s Association would like to help lift up a local female business owner with a gift of $1,000. If you know of any female business owner who could use a financial lift, someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in our community, provides opportunities for women in business and who inspires you through their actions, the K-W Business Women’s Association would like to hear from you. Visit their website to nominate an individual to be the recipient of the Lift Gift. Nominations due by May 21. http://kwbwa.com/nomination-application.html
