The annual Betty Thompson Golf Classic in support of Women’s Health returns after a one-year absence. The 28th annual tournament had to be cancelled last year due to COVID-19 but organizers still managed to secure enough donations and corporate sponsorships to raise $23,000 to support women’s healthcare initiatives in Waterloo Region. Since its inception in the early 1990s, the Betty Thompson Golf Classic has raised more than $1-million for women’s health. If you’d like to be a part of Waterloo Region’s longest-running female-only golf tournament, you can register here: https://www.zontakw.org/2021-betty-thompson-golf-classic. This year’s tournament is set for Thursday, May 27th and features 9 holes and a boxed lunch from Merry Hill Golf Club for $85.
