Help local artists improve local healthcare by supporting the LAF Waterloo Region art sale. The new LAF on-line art store is a non-profit effort by regional artist groups to help you ‘Support Local’ by bringing members’ paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, jewellery, fine crafts and more to you! Whether you visit to buy a gift, something for yourself, your home or just for the visual treat … browse, shop and visit often! All work is available, with new artists and artwork posted twice weekly, and the artist will deliver the work directly to your home. This month, 20% of all sales will support the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation. https://www.lafwr.com/charity-partner
Adventure4Change is a registered Canadian charity organization that addresses issues related to poverty and inequity for children, youth, and families. Using an asset-based approach to development, all efforts are directed by local leadership and community residents. Adventure4Change believes that change comes about as individuals and communities are enabled to take greater responsibility. Success is measured by how prepared and equipped people are to live lives characterized by vitality and contribution. The Genesis Program offers youth who express a need for employment the opportunity to interview for a variety of jobs. There are currently 22 youth ready to be connected to summer employment. If you can offer an opportunity, visit https://adventure4change.org/.
