The Greenwood Rod and Gun Club in St. Agatha is hosting a Good Friday Fish Fry on April 2nd, beginning at 4:00 p.m. The club’s activities have been severely curtailed by COVID-19 but they've been able to keep the lights on and pay the bills thanks to donations from club members. Still, the club is also known for donating money to various community initiatives and without the ability to host its usual social events, those efforts have been drastically reduced. This Friday, April 2nd, the club is hosting a fish fry by take-out only. Only a limited number of people will be allowed on the property and physical distancing guidelines will be strictly adhered to. You can pick up your plate of fish (two pieces), fries, and cole slaw, beginning at 4:00 p.m. and continuing while supplies last. The cost is $15 per plate. https://www.facebook.com/GreenwoodRodandGun/

Tiny Home Takeout has been operating from the parking lot of St. Mary’s Church in downtown Kitchener since the end of January. It began when Father Toby Collins was enjoying a meal with his fellow priests and looked out the window to see some people who didn't have the same opportunity to enjoy such a meal. That led to a renovation at the church to create a kitchen and a group of volunteers who stepped up to build a tiny home and staff it to serve food through the week. Customers are encouraged to pay what they can, which means even those who can't afford anything are welcome to enjoy a hot meal. Tiny Home Takeout is available Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00-6:30 p.m. https://www.tinyhometakeout.com/
