As a peer-developed and peer-driven network, Waterloo Region Family Network (WRFN) is uniquely able to help exceptional families and individuals thrive. Through education and meaningful connections, WRFN offers support in making informed decisions for now and through all life stages. WRFN fills a gap in Waterloo Region, by facilitating peer connections and sharing community resources. Through an innovative community partnership model and strong network, WRFN supports individuals both with and without a diagnosis, creating life-long impact. Almost 70% of WRFN's funding comes through fundraising and its signature event – the Evening of Elegance – is fast approaching. Save the date of Saturday, May 29th and plan to take part in a family-friendly online cooking class as part of the “Evening of Elegance at Home.” Watch for more details and tickets to go on sale here: https://wrfn.info/
The Walk to End ALS is returning to Ontario in 2021 as a virtual event! The Walk to End ALS is more than just a fundraiser, it is a community builder and a place of connection. While we'll miss coming together physically, we will connect virtually: to celebrate, to remember, to support each other and demonstrate just how strong we are as a community. Register for – or donate to -- this year’s walk, which is taking place on Sunday, June 20th. https://walktoendals.ca/participate-or-donate/ontario/
