The Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington is hosting its annual “Winter Warmer” next month, after a one-year COVID hiatus. The pandemic forced the Alzheimer Society to cancel last year’s event but a virtual evening of whiskey-tasting and fundraising is scheduled for Thursday, March 4th. Guests will enjoy appetizers, a selection of Macallan whiskeys, and live and silent auctions. 100 Women Who Care Waterloo Region is now into its 7th year. The organization brings together 100 women for a quarterly meeting during which each member contributes $100. After spending one hour listening to a pitch from a local charity, 100 Women Who Care makes a $10,000 (or greater) donation.
