The Waterloo Region Family Network’s "Evening of Elegance" is fast approaching.  Enjoy an elegant evening of mixing and mingling at the Great Hall, Luther Village on the Park while tasting delicious wine, beer and cider - all paired with appetizing food selections. Our spectacular silent auction includes a number of exciting items for you to bid on. You won't want to miss our raffle and engaging vocal entertainment! All proceeds go directly to program resources - facilitating meaningful connections, in all life stages, for families of children with special needs both with and without a diagnosis. Tickets cost $125/each but you can take advantage of Early Bird pricing (tickets just $100) until March 10th!

The Zonta Club of Kitchener-Waterloo has been promoting social advocacy and working to empower women around the world for 40 years. This year all proceeds will be donated to Zonta International for service projects including efforts to end child marriage in 12 countries. The 17th annual International Women’s Day Celebration hosted by  Zonta KW is on Tuesday March 10th at St. George’s Banquet Hall,  starting at 5:30. Enjoy dinner, raffle prizes, and guest speaker Samra Zafar, who will share her story of escaping from a decade of abuse living as a child bride in Canada and going on to pursue her education as a single mother working multiple jobs.  Zafra completed her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Economics from the University of Toronto with the highest distinction. Tickets are on sale until March 3rd!
