November was dry and rather uneventful, says UW weather station

It's been a year of wacky weather events, from temperatures to record rainfall.

But in Waterloo Region last month, it was a rather uneventful 30 days.

The University of Waterloo weather station said there were a few warm days, but also some cooler days, which resulted in the temperature being 0.4 degrees above average.

Rainfall wasn't really a big deal, with 51.6 mm of precipitation falling in the month, the driest November in eight years, they said.

“The precipitation didn't really start until almost two weeks into the month,” UW said. “And even after that, there were no days with over 10 mm of precipitation.”

There was a bit of snowfall, however.

The 17.5 cm of snow that fell in the month was just above the November average of 13 cm.
