  1. Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest 

It’s the final weekend to experience the Gemütlichkeit of this year’s Oktoberfest celebrations! Concordia Club, Habsburg Haus, Hubertus Haus and the Schwaben Club look forward to welcoming you: you can find out what’s happening at the festhallen on the Oktoberfest website.  


  1. "The Dark Side of Galt” Evening Walking Tours 

October 14, 21 and 28 at McDougall Cottage, Cambridge 

It’s the season for everything spooky! Put on your comfy walking shoes and get ready to take a stroll through the past, exploring stories of disasters, hauntings and other unsavoury events that make up part of Galt's dark history. 

This is a 14+ event, and registration is required.  


  1. The Kitchener Rangers Retro 60’s Game 

Sunday, October 16th at 2PM, The Aud 

The Kitchener Rangers are celebrating their 60th season with a special game honouring their 60-year history. Former Kitchener players John Beechey and long-time New York Rangers skater Walt Tkaczuk will be in attendance for the ceremonial puck drop.  

Fans are encouraged to wear their best 60’s look! Tickets to the game are available online.   


  1. Old Post Office Fall Digital Light Shows 

Thursday – Sunday throughout October  

Take in a special digital light show projected onto the façade of the Old Post Office in downtown Cambridge. 

There are shows every half hour beginning at 8 PM with the final show beginning at 9:30 PM.. Tune your car radio to fm 92.5 to listen to the music that has been choreographed with the show. 


  1. Pumpkin Parade in St. Jacobs 

October 28-29 from 6-8PM nightly 

Pick up a FREE pumpkin at Block Three Brewing or the The Big Tent at The Fat Sparrow Block starting October 15th. Carve the pumpkin and place it on King Street (between Albert and Cedar) on one of the event evenings. Wear a Halloween costume and come out to see all of the jack-o-lanterns: there will be prizes for Best Costume and Best Jack-o-Lantern!  


  1. Dog Day at Doon – Halloween Pawty 

October 29 from 11AM – 4PM at Doon Heritage Crossroads 

Get your canine companions all gussied up in their best Halloween garb and get ready for a fun Halloween Pawty stroll through Doon Heritage Village.  

You and your furry friends will enjoy limited access to our living history village for this special, safe doggie event and all pampered pooches will receive a wee pup-friendly Halloween treat.  The Village will be decorated in a fun, spooky Halloween theme. 


  1. Rocky Horror Picture Show at Princess Cinemas 

October 27-31  

THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is a Halloween tradition at Princess Cinemas! 

Filled with all the classic songs and audience participation that has made the film so much fun for over 40 years. Bring your costumes and be ready for a night where that will make you shiver with antici….pation!

  1. Take In some Halloween Terror 

There’s still time left to take in Waterloo Region’s scariest attractions – Screampark and Fear Farm. Think you’re brave enough to make it through? Get a group together and get ready for a night of thrills and chills! Advance tickets for both attractions can be booked online.
