1. Waterloo Warbirds Open House 

September 11, 2021 10 am – 3 pm 

The Waterloo Warbirds are opening their hangar doors, spacing out their fleet of 5 vintage Warbirds and showing them off to the public. Entry is by donation and members gain access for free. 

Free 90 minute parking is available at the Region of Waterloo International Airport. Visitors will be limited to 40 people inside the hangar at any given time.

2. All that Worldly Jazz Festival  

September 17-19, 2021 

St. Jacobs Ball Diamond Outfield 

Neruda Arts' celebration of world jazz brings three nights of music to St Jacobs. It features live music with flavours of Brazil, Turkey, Africa, Ireland, Latin and Youth jazz. Enjoy interactive music and dance workshops for children, food, drinks, treats and local vendors. All ages welcome. Covid-19 protocols will be in place. Social distancing and facemasks encouraged.

3. Downtown Kitchener Ribfest and Craft Beer Show 

September 17-19, 2021 

Victoria Park, Kitchener 

KW Ribfest is happening - live and in-person! Enjoy mouth-watering barbequed ribs and chicken, an incredible selection of Ontario craft-brewed beer, plus live entertainment and a Kids Fun Zone - all in the open atmosphere of Victoria Park. 

A limited number of guaranteed entry tickets are available for each day.

4. Lumen Lite 

September 25, 2021, 6 -11 pm 

Uptown Waterloo 

A physically distanced festival where light, art and tech meet, two metres apart. Lumen Lite brings together art and tech through captivating interdisciplinary art installations that feature the work of artists while also testing the limits or functions of technological platforms. Watch for these creative installations in public spaces throughout Uptown Waterloo!

5. Taste the Countryside 

September 23 thru October 3, 2021 

Explore food in Waterloo Region’s rural areas during Taste the Countryside. 

This 10-day dining event showcases local restaurants who support local businesses by purchasing and using local produce in their menus.  Participating businesses offer a delicious $35 or $15 Prix Fixe menu for dine-in or takeout. Dine your way through the countryside for a chance to win great prizes!

6. Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest 

September 24 thru October 11, 2021 

This year, maybe more than ever before, we need to come together to celebrate community, heritage, friends and family and FUN! This year’s Oktoberfest will be a mix of virtual events, Micro-festhallen, traditional Festhallen, the Bingemans Biergarten and some very special contests.

7. IMPACT 21 

September 28 thru October 9, 2021 

IMPACT 21 features powerful theatrical performances adapted for Covid-19. There will be a pop-up outdoor Festival Bar, with a variety of beverages and food trucks to wrap up your night of theatre with good drinks, good food, and great conversation!
