  1. Berlin’s Great War Stories with Stroll Walking Tours 

Saturday, April 9th at 3PM 

On the anniversary of Vimy Ridge, April 9, 1917, Stroll Walking Tour’s “Great War Stories” walk explores life in the small city of Berlin, Ontario, (now Kitchener). Walk through Berlin’s tumultuous four years of war and engage with some lesser-known people and stories from Kitchener’s past. Pre-registration is required. 


  1. St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market Easter Egg Hunt 

Saturday, April 16th at 11AM 

Join the St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market for a ton of Easter fun! In addition to the Easter Egg Hunt in the farmyard, explore the market to find vendors with Easter eggs displayed in their booths for more treats. 


  1. Earth Day Community Clean Up in Waterloo 

April 22-24 throughout the City of Waterloo 

Celebrate Earth Day! Help remove litter from parks in Waterloo during the annual city-wide cleanup. Neighbourhood associations, block connectors and neighbourhood groups are invited to coordinate a cleanup of parks April 22 to 24 and supplies will be provided. Register your clean-up group online.

Concordia Club 

Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest is back for 2022 and they're looking for volunteers to help with this year’s festival. VolunteerFest is a day to share your ideas and your passions, while enjoying good food, great beer, and even better company! Register to be part of the day and find out more.

Spend an evening of humour with the one and only John Cleese as he shares hilarious and silly highlights from his life and career. If you’re in the mood for a good laugh (and who isn’t these days) this is the show for you (recommended for 13+). Tickets available on the website.  


  1. Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival Fundraiser Concerts 

April 29 – May 1  

The Jazz Room 


The UpTown Waterloo Jazz Festival and the Grand River Jazz Society present three concerts at the Jazz Room in Waterloo as part of a fundraising initiative for this year’s Jazz Festival.  

Adrean Farrugia and Brad Goode perform on April 29, The Shuffledemons perform on April 30, and Laura Anglade takes the stage on May 1.
