Berlin’s Great War Stories with Stroll Walking Tours

On the anniversary of Vimy Ridge, April 9, 1917, Stroll Walking Tour’s “Great War Stories” walk explores life in the small city of Berlin, Ontario, (now Kitchener). Walk through Berlin’s tumultuous four years of war and engage with some lesser-known people and stories from Kitchener’s past. Pre-registration is required.

Celebrate Earth Day! Help remove litter from parks in Waterloo during the annual city-wide cleanup. Neighbourhood associations, block connectors and neighbourhood groups are invited to coordinate a cleanup of parks April 22 to 24 and supplies will be provided. Register your clean-up group online.

Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival Fundraiser Concerts

The UpTown Waterloo Jazz Festival and the Grand River Jazz Society present three concerts at the Jazz Room in Waterloo as part of a fundraising initiative for this year’s Jazz Festival.
Adrean Farrugia and Brad Goode perform on April 29, The Shuffledemons perform on April 30, and Laura Anglade takes the stage on May 1.
