1) Taste the Countryside

Explore food in Waterloo Region's rural areas during Taste the Countryside. Participating businesses offer a delicious $35 or $15 Prix Fixe menu: post a photo of your meal to Instagram or Facebook and use the #TastetheCountryside to win one of 2 great prizes!
2) Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest Live
October 9 & 10, 2020
Experience all the same Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest 'Gemuetlichkeit' you're used to from the comfort of your own home during this fun and interactive two-day virtual event. There will be a number of live events happening, from Oktoberfest-themed entertainment and concerts to experiences the whole family can enjoy.
3) Dinosaur Drive Thru
October 10-25, 2020
THEMUSEUM, Bingemans and Indian River Reptile & Dinosaur Park have partnered up to bring an unforgettable family experience to Waterloo Region! Complete with animatronic dinosaurs, you and your family don't have to go far to be up close with creatures that went extinct 65 million years ago!
4) Uptown Waterloo Fall Open Air Market
Sundays during October, 9 am - 1 pm

Uptown Waterloo is partnering with local vendors and businesses to offer the community an opportunity to safely visit Uptown Waterloo to shop local foods, retail items, artisans and more.
5) Explore Pumpkin Patches in Waterloo Region
It's a fall tradition for many families: heading to a local pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect Jack-o-lantern or fall decoration! It's a fun outdoor activity, and there are plenty of patches to choose from in Waterloo Region.
6) Halloween Tricks and Treats
Although this Halloween will have a different feel to it, there are still lots of thrills and chills happening in Waterloo Region. From Screampark to Fear Farm's Haunted Campfire experiences, get ready for some terrifying fun! For the kids, the Trick or Treat Drive Thru is a fun and safe way to put on their costumes and celebrate Halloween. The Village of St. Jacobs also has its Pumpkin Parade - and there are prizes to be won!
