It's a Leap Year, and that means you have an extra day to get out and enjoy everything that's happening in Waterloo Region: check out these fun Things To Do!

1) Mandela: Struggle for Freedom
Opens February 7, 2020
Ken Seiling Waterloo Region Museum, Kitchener

This exhibit is a sensory experience of imagery, soundscape, digital media, and objects used to explore the fight for justice and human dignity in South Africa - and its relevance to issues of today. It includes a replicate of Mandela's eight-by seven-foot prison cell. When entered, the cell becomes a digital theatre whose walls tell a story of repression and resilience.

2) Waterloo Polar Plunge
Saturday, February 8, 2020  1-3 pm
Wilfrid Laurier University Stadium, Waterloo

Participants are freezin' for a reason at the Polar Plunge! It's a fun opportunity to support Special Olympics Ontario athletes by taking a flying leap - a leap into very cold water!  Register, dare a friend, donate, fundraise -every little bit supports an amazing cause.

3) Love Bites
Saturday, February 15, 2020  7-11 pm
Tapestry Hall, Cambridge

It's Valentine's Weekend, and Tapestry Hall invites you to eat, dance and skate indoors (yes - indoors!) at its new venue! Featuring food stations, 80's cover band Always on Friday, an indoor skating rink (skates rented on a first come first serve basis), free samples from Kettle One and Don Julio, and an appearance from Captain Morgan and his crew!
