With jack-o-lanterns put away for another year, it means the holidays are just around the corner!  From Remembrance Day to Santa Claus Parades, take a look at these great ways to #ExploreWR this November!

1)    #LipOffKW
Thursday, November 7, 2019  6 pm
Apollo Cinema

#LipOffKW is the region's only lip-sync battle fundraiser! It's a fun night of competition as soloists and teams rock out to their favourite songs, and the audience has a chance to cast their votes for the winner of the Fake It to Make It Award. The real winner of the night is ALLIN2020 - recipient of the proceeds from Lip Off.

2)    Art$Pay Annual Show and Sale
Saturday, November 9, 2019  1-4 pm
Lot 42

Enjoy a juried exhibition of art selected from 140 Art$Pay artist members, a special juried student artist display and more. Not only are you supporting local artists, you'll be supporting Art$Pay's 2019 event Charity Partner, SHORE Centre.

3)    Remembrance Day 2019
November 11, 2019

Pause, honour and remember at the annual Remembrance Day ceremonies happening in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Ayr, and New Hamburg.
There are also special Remembrance Day events taking place at THEMUSEUM, Idea Exchange, Waterloo Region Museum, and Kitchener Public Library

You can also participate in the RememberRun on November 9; it's hosted by the Preston Legion, with proceeds and donations going to the Poppy Fund.

4)    St. Jacobs Sparkles
November 14-17, 2019
The Village of St. Jacobs

Each year the Village of St. Jacobs and its merchants host St. Jacobs Sparkles!  Explore the Village and take in the sights and sounds of a small-town Christmas while enjoying thousands of twinkling lights, complimentary horse drawn trolley rides, Victorian Carollers, a festive photo booth, outdoor burn barrel (for marshmallow roasting fun) and a tree lighting ceremony to help ring in the event on Thursday evening!

5)    Waterloo Region Santa Claus Parades
Throughout November and December

Santa Claus is coming to Waterloo Region! Get ready to greet him at one of 10 Santa Claus Parades happening locally: and, don't forget to bring along your letter for Santa so his helpers can collect them along the parade route! Many of the parades will also be accepting food donations for local food banks.
Find out when Santa is scheduled to arrive in your town here!
