Teen arrested with loaded firearm in Kitchener: police

A Kitchener teen is facing a long list of charges after an incident involving a firearm.

On Sunday afternoon, shortly after 4:30, police responded to a medical call in the area of Queen Street South and Charles Street.

According to police, a youth was located inside a residence with a loaded firearm.

A 16-year-old male now faces charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm, careless use/storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of suspected fentanyl.

The accused was held in custody for a bail hearing.
