Wanted man tries to evade police in Kitchener

A man wanted on multiple warrants was arrested in Kitchener on Wednesday night. 

According to Waterloo Regional Police, it started around 6:10 p.m. as officers tried to conduct a traffic stop in the Stirling Avenue and Highland Road area. 

It's reported the driver ended up ramming two cruisers with their vehicle while attempting to drive away. No one was hurt and the driver then allegedly ran out of their vehicle, and was arrested shortly after. 

Police said the 27-year-old Kitchener man was wanted on three warrants. He's facing several charges including dangerous driving and flight from police. 

Police continue to investigate.
