Two facing charges after police seize drugs and weapons

Two Kitchener residents have been charged following a drug bust in the city.

The bust, conducted by Waterloo Regional Police's Central Community Oriented Response Enforcement (CORE) Team and the Emergency Response Team, went down just before 2 a.m. on Sunday on Highland Road West.

When police stopped a vehicle, they seized a large quantity of suspected fentanyl, carfentanil, methamphetamine, cocaine and prescription medication. 

Officers also found a replica handgun and a can of bear spray. 

A woman, 38, and man, 42, face numerous drug and weapons charges.

No names have been released.
