Regional police are investigating after a female youth was assaulted by four suspects with a baseball bat at Fairview Park Mall in Kitchener on June 21.
Police responded to a report of an assault at 8:15 p.m., in which the victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
Three teens have been arrested and charged as a result of the investigation.
- A 19-year-old woman was arrested and charged with assault and two counts of fail to comply with undertaking
- A 16-year-old was charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of failing to comply with undertaking
- A 15-year-old was arrested and charged with assault and failure to comply with undertaking
All three are from Kitchener, and were held for a bail hearing.
Police are looking to identify and speak to a fourth suspect, described as a Black female, 15 to 20-years-old, who was seen wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts and white sandals.
The individuals involved are believed to be known to each other.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
