Suspect wanted in attempted robbery at Kitchener store

Police are looking for a suspect following an attempted robbery at a Kitchener store on Saturday evening.

According to police, a male suspect entered the store, in the area of Highland Road West and Westmount Road West, and demanded merchandise.

The suspect and employee were then involved in a fight, in which the employee suffered minor injuries.

Police say the suspect fled on foot, in the direction of Highland Road.

The suspect is described as a South Asian male, approximately 6’1” tall, 200 pounds, wearing green pants, a green sweater, a fur-lined jacket and glasses.
