Shotgun seized during Kitchener drug investigation

A Kitchener woman is facing multiple charges following a drug investigation in the city.

Members of the Direct Action Response Team (DART) of Waterloo Regional Police executed a search warrant at a residence on King Street East on Wednesday.

They seized a shotgun, bear spray, as well as suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and hydromorphone.

A 27-year-old woman is now facing drug and firearm charges, including possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
