Waterloo Regional Police are making the rounds at pharmacies in the area after a recent rash of robberies.
Seven pharmacy robberies have been reported to police since the beginning of the year.
Police say they're monitoring pharmacies, as well as speaking with owners and employees, to make sure they have the latest information and safety tips.
Investigators believe the suspects target prescription medication, which they will then sell within the region.
WRPS also added that the service has deployed significant resources to solve the robberies. Investigators are trying to determine if organized crime is a contributing factor.
So far in 2022, police have responded to 24 robberies, double the amount officers were called to during the same period in 2021.
Anyone who has information about the incidents is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Anonymous tips can also be submitted at www.waterloocrimestoppers.
