Residents of Cambridge home treated for smoke inhalation after fire

Two police officers were also treated at the scene

Regional police and the Cambridge Fire Department are investigating a fire in the Greenway-Chaplin neighbourhood of the city.

Emergency crews responded to the residential fire, in the area of Sekura Street and Munch Avenue, around 11:55 p.m. Thursday.

Residents of the home were transported to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation. Two police were also treated for smoke inhalation at the scene by paramedics. Residents in neighbouring properties were evacuated as well until the fire was put out.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
