Regional Police investigate after man fell from bridge (update)

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

A 21-year old man has died, and police seem to be ruling out any suspicious activity into the death.

It comes after emergency crews were called to a pedestrian bridge over the Grand River in Cambridge around 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, for a man falling into the river system.

A lengthy search followed, and involved the use of watercraft from Cambridge Fire, along with a drone.

A body was located shortly before noon Sunday, and police believe the death to be accidental or caused by misadventure.

The investigation remains ongoing, and more information will be released when available.
