Record-breaking snowfall hits Waterloo Region, over 120 crashes reported

The clean up continues after this weekend's record-breaking snowfall.
According to Meteorologist Rob Kuhn with Environment Canada, 16 cm was recorded in Kitchener on Saturday alone.
That's a new daily snowfall record for January 18.

The snow certainly kept Waterloo Regional Police busy.
In the last 48 hours, 125 collisions were reported.
As a result, they've reminded motorists to be prepared for wintry weather.
That means you need to clean any snow or ice off your entire car before hitting the road, and drive carefully.
