One person is dead after a collision on Hespeler Road in Cambridge.
Emergency crews responded to the area of Hespeler Road near Kossuth road just before 5 a.m. Wednesday for multiple reports of a colllision.
According to police, that crash involved a transport truck and a Toyota SUV. Police tell CityNews 570 that the driver of the Toyota, a 58-year-old Cambridge man, was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
Hespeler is closed between Guelph Avenue and Kossuth Road as police continue their investigation, while also cleaning up a large oil / diesel spill.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
The investigation into that collision is still ongoing by members of the General Investigations Unit and Traffic Services Unit. Anyone with information, dash-cam footage or surveillance video of that crash is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
