Police seize drugs, various weapons after break and enter in Cambridge

A 42-year-old woman is now facing several charges after being caught by police in the Kerr Street and Beverly Street area on Wednesday

Regional police have arrested and charged a 42-year-old woman from Cambridge following a residential break and enter in that city. 

That call saw officers respond to the area of Kerr Street and Beverly Street around 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday, as they located a female suspect on scene. 

Through their investigation, police learned the woman was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. 

Arresting that woman, police seized a notable quantity of drugs - including suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and Percocet pills. Officers also seized a "large sum" of Canadian currency and government documentation. 

Also seized were various weapons including an assortment of knives, pepper spray and a stun gun. 

That 42-year-old woman was charged with several criminal offences including:

  • Four counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking
  • Three counts of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon
  • Carry concealed weapon
  • Possession of identity documents

The suspect was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
