Police respond to morning collision in Kitchener (update)

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate following a collision at the intersection of Westmount Road and Queen's Boulevard Monday morning.

According to police, two vehicles were involved in a collision in the intersection around 9 a.m., resulting in one of the involved vehicles striking a nearby pedestrian. 

Both drivers and the pedestrian were transported to hospital by Waterloo Region Paramedic Services with what are believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is still ongoing, and police have indicated that charges are pending the outcome. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage, is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers. 

As of 10:30 a.m., the intersection of Westmount Road and Queen's Boulevard has fully reopened to traffic.
