Police looking to identify drivers in connection with Kitchener crash

Waterloo Regional Police are trying to identify three drivers as they continue to investigate a crash on Wabanaki Drive in Kitchener.

According to police, the crash happened around 5:15 p.m. on January 31. 

“Through the initial investigation, police determined that three vehicles were travelling west on Wabanaki [Drive], when one vehicle crossed the centreline into the path of a vehicle travelling east,” read a release from WRPS, issued on Tuesday. “The driver of the vehicle travelling east, lost control while attempting to avoid a collision and left the roadway striking a concrete wall.”

Two occupants in the vehicle that crashed were sent to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Police want to identify and speak with the other drivers and are asking any witnesses to the collision, including those with video footage, to contact the WRPS Traffic Unit. 

The outstanding vehicles are described as a black Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, a black Toyota Tundra pickup truck, and a grey Honda sedan.
