Police looking for suspect after three break and enters in Elmira

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate after three residential break and enters occurred overnight on Thursday, June 20, 2019, in the area of Woolwich Memorial Centre in Elmira. 

An unknown male entered the homes through unlocked windows or patio doors while the homeowners were sleeping. 

The male then took personal property from the homes. In one incident, the homeowner confronted the suspect before the suspect fled the area. 

There were no physical injuries reported as a result of the break and enters. 

The investigation is ongoing. 

Police would like to remind the community to report any suspicious activity and ensure their residences and vehicles are locked at all times – especially during the overnight hours. Anyone with information is encouraged to call police at 519-570-9777 ext. 8422 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
