Wanted man arrested in Weber Street, Kinzie Avenue area of Kitchener (update)

There was a heavy police presence at Weber Street and Kinzie Avenue in Kitchener on Monday afternoon. 

Police confirmed it related to a wanted man who was located in that area. 

According to police, they received reports that a male allegedly assaulted three people and damaged property at two Kitchener residences around 12:50 a.m. 

Three victims were hurt, including one who sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. It's reported the accused and the victims were all known to each other. 

It's also reported the same male suspect was involved in a hit and run crash, which resulted in minor damage. 

Police said the male suspect was later located and arrested in Kitchener in the Weber Street and Kinzie Avenue area. 

A 23-year-old Waterloo man is facing charges including assault and uttering threats.
