Police investigating knifepoint robbery in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police are looking for a suspect following a robbery in Kitchener.

Police said it happened Wednesday night around 10 p.m. in the Windrush Trail area near Windrush Park, which is by Doon South Drive.

It's reported a victim was walking alone when they were approached by a male with a knife, who demanded they hand over their personal property.

There were no injuries reported as the victim was able to flee and call police.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

The suspect is described as being a Black male, around 6'2'', with a slim build. He was last seen wearing a purple camo hoodie, grey sweatpants, and a shoulder bag.
