Police investigate robbery at Kitchener convenience store

Police are searching for a suspect following a robbery at a Kitchener convenience store. 

Officers were called to the business in the Westmount Road and Westwood Drive area on Wednesday night just before 8:30 p.m. 

According to police, a male suspect tried to steal several items and was confronted by an employee. The situation escalated into a physical altercation, and the suspect fled in an older model white sedan. 

The suspect is described as being a white male, around six feet tall, and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, grey pants, and a black baseball cap. 

Police also believe the male was involved in a separate theft at a business in the King Street and Morgan Avenue area of Kitchener.
