Police investigate evening shooting in Kitchener (update)

Regional police continue to investigate a shooting incident that occurred in the area of Homer Watson and Doon Village Road on Friday.

According to the service, officers responded to that call at approximately 8:35 p.m. on Friday evening.

Police note that two vehicles were involved in the shooting – with the occupants of one reportedly firing on another. The suspects are described as two Black males, both approximately 20-years-old wearing dark clothing.

Those suspects fled the area in a dark blue pickup truck. 

There are no physical injuries being reported at this time, while police believe the shooting to be targeted in nature.

Anyone with information regarding the shooting is being asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
