A charge has been laid following a collision that resulted in a diesel spill in Cambridge.

It happened just before 2 p.m. Tuesday on Hespeler Road, between Langs Drive and Bishop Street North.

Police say a tractor trailer was headed north on Hespeler when the driver attempted to merge lanes and struck a truck that was also travelling north. The tractor trailer fuel tank was then punctured.

No one was hurt.

The Ministry of Environment, Region of Waterloo and City of Cambridge were all called in to assist with the fuel clean up.

A 30-year-old man has been charged with change lane — not in safety.
