Police investigate assault incident in Cambridge

Regional police continue to investigate after an assault incident in Cambridge. 

The incident occurred on Thursday, as police responded to reports of an assault around 2:05 a.m. in the area of King Street East and Laurel Street. 

Through their investigation, police have determined that several suspects entered a residence and assaulted the victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. 

Police believe the incident to be targeted, as they note there are no concerns for public safety. 

Anyone with information regarding that incident is being encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
