By CityNews Kitchener Staff

A traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Kitchener.

Police originally pulled a driver over on Weber Street East on Thursday afternoon in connection with numerous driving prohibition offences.

But during the arrest, officers also seized quantities of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, an identity document, as well as counterfeit money.

A 37-year-old man faces a long list of charges including operating a vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code, possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of counterfeit money.

Police have not released his name.
