Regional police have provided an update into their investigation of an assault on school grounds in Cambridge, noting the arrest of a 14-year-old male youth from Kitchener.
That original incident occurred on Thursday morning in the area of Water Street North and Samuelson Street, as police said the suspect approached three victims on school grounds, spraying them with a substance from an aerosol can before fleeing the area.
Believed to be a targeted incident, those three victims were treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries by regional paramedics.
On Friday, regional police arrested that 14-year-old from Kitchener. The youth has since been charged with three counts of assault with a weapon, and will appear in court in June.
