Man facing 16 charges after stolen vehicle investigation

A stolen vehicle investigation has led to the arrest of man wanted in connection with several crimes around the region.

Regional Police say they arrested a man driving a vehicle that was reported stolen Tuesday afternoon in the Westmount Road North and University Avenue West area of Waterloo. 

The vehicle was first spotted in the area of Northfield Drive West and Weber Street North, earlier that day. 

It was discovered, the man had been involved in numerous “criminal incidents” throughout the region, in the past two days.

This includes a break in at a local business, three other stolen vehicles and multiple thefts.

A 25-year-old man is facing a total of sixteen charges.
