A man is now facing charges following a crash in Waterloo early Wednesday morning.

The collision happened around 5 a.m. on Beechwood Drive near Sandbury Lane.

Waterloo Regional Police say a Honda Civic was travelling south on Beechwood, when the driver allegedly lost control, striking the curb on the opposite side of the road, then hitting a tree.

Police say the impact of the collision ejected the driver.

He was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

A passenger was also hurt.

Police say a Waterloo man, 20, has been charged with several offences, including impaired operation and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.
