Man charged with impaired driving by drug twice in same day

A Cambridge man is facing a pair of impaired driving by drug charges, with both being laid on the same day.

The second one resulted from a crash in the city.

The collision happened around 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, in the area of Eagle Street North and Witmer Street.

During their investigation, police learned the driver had been charged with impaired driving by drug earlier that day.

A 41-year-old man has had his licence suspended for 90 days. His vehicle was also impounded.

No name has been released.
