Man arrested after rocks thrown at multiple businesses in Cambridge

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a man from Cambridge after a number of local businesses were damaged. 

At around 5:45 p.m. Thursday, officers were called to the area of Main Street and Water Street where two men were seen throwing rocks at windows. 

In all, a total of five businesses were left with damage. 

Police managed to chase down one of the suspects, who had been holding two buckets full of rocks, and took him into custody. 

A 38-year-old Cambridge man has since been charged with five counts of mischief and assaulting a peace officer. 

Investigators are still searching for the second suspect in this incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
