Man arrested after police seize drugs, stolen bike and counterfeit cash

By Blair Adams

A 26-year-old Kitchener man is facing long list of charges after police seized drugs, counterfeit cash and a stolen bike.

The arrest was made around 11 p.m. Thursday in the area of Weber Street East and Madison Avenue in Kitchener.

Police say they took a man, wanted on two arrest warrants, into custody.

He was riding a bicycle at the time, which officers later determined was stolen.

Police also seized suspected methamphetamine and a prohibited weapon.

The man, who hasn't been named, is facing drug offences, as well as several criminal code offences including possession of stolen property, possession of a prohibited weapon and breaching court orders.

Waterloo Regional Police are also reminding residents the importance of recording the serial numbers on their bicycles as it will help them getting that bike back to its rightful owner.
