Male approached females on Waterloo trails asking for hugs: police

Police are looking to gather more information after females were allegedly approached by a man on several walking trails in Waterloo.

The incidents happened between around 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday in the University Avenue, Lexington Road, and Eastbridge neighborhoods, as well as the area of Bridge and Woolwich Street.

A male, riding a black bicycle, was approaching females and asking for a hug, according to police.

No one was hurt.

The male police want to speak with is white, between 20-25 years old with a thin build. He was wearing dark pants, a light pink sweater, and was carrying a black backpack.
