Kitchener resident charged in connection with domestic disturbance

A resident of Kitchener is facing several charges in connection with a domestic disturbance in the Township of Perth East.

Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to the incident the morning of November 27.

OPP said during the investigation, the victim revealed historical assaults. They determined one person had assaulted the other. The victim suffered minor injuries.

A 29-year-old has been charged with cruelty to animals -- unnecessary pain, suffering or injury, assault with a weapon -- spousal, and mischief under $5,000.

The accused was released and will appear in a Stratford court at a later date to answer to the charges.
