Waterloo Regional Police confirm two shootings took place in Kitchener on Monday. The incidents are believed to be related and targeted.
Officers were called to a home in the area of Windflower Drive and Windflower Crescent, near Ottawa and Fischer-Hallman for reports of property damage.
Investigation showed bullets caused damage to a couch and wall in the home. No one was injured.
Police believe a short time earlier, between 10 p.m. Monday and midnight, shots were also fired at McLennan Park, as fireworks were being set off. No one was injured in that incident either.
WRPS' Forensic Identification Unit was processing evidence in the two areas Tuesday afternoon.
Anyone with dash-cam footage or surveillance video in those areas is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
